"Imminent?" Don't you mean "Actually here?"
You are in slow motion today MR! But I still love you.
On the 27th, it was imminent. There is another thread that mentions the release.

Again?
My Verizon iPhone had the incorrect time, when I turn off the "set time automatically" it does correct itself. Kind of frustrated, I do use the iPhone for my alarm clock, and have for the last 4 or so years, it would be nice to be able to trust it to ring when it is expected to.

50 billion out of a budget of what? A trillion and a bit? What's really ridiculous is all the petty bitching coming out of DC over what amounts to less than 5% of the total. The Titanic is hit and two engineers are fighting over whether or not to turn on one pump.
I think the issue is that included in that 50 billion is money that forms 100% of certain program budgets (e.g. planned parenthood). If it was a horizontal cur (5% off every program budget) then it wouldn't be as huge of an issue.
If the government "shuts down", not much will change. Life will continue.
Unless you're a federal employee, in which case get used to not having a paycheck for a while. Or, like me, are someone who is waiting for the federal government to process some very important paperwork.

It will be a surprise if they don't name a phone iPhone after getting all those trademarks. They certainly wouldn't save it for another future product while coming out with an Apple-branded phone.
Is there any chance they have another name in mind for their product but got the patents in order to lock up the name to prevent competitors from using it? Personally, I doubt it.

How much money round that table??!!
That's a lot of money in one room!:eek:
Haha, that's what I was thinking! :D Very powerful and influential people around that table. Kind of odd and surreal! They are just normal people.
He doesn't look anywhere near as bad as he did in those "genuine" photographs from a certain news organisation.
I can't seem to find those pics. Did they publish them? Do you have a link?
Notice Steve is the only guy without wine?
He is undergoing treatment for cancer.
What is so strange about him not drinking alcohol?
Actually, there are just two guys with Wine in the whole room, they all have water or something like that... (Check out the big flickr pic from the previous poster)
Yes it looks like there are other people with water but does Steve drink? I don't think he does.
Everyone is dressed up but Steve....awesome.
He did wear a tux to the oscars at least.
Ya it was weird seeing Steve in a tux or anything but his standard uniform haha! :D
I would honestly love to see his closet lol! Probably like Earnest... Nothing but black turtle necks, Levis jeans, and NewBalance sneakers haha! :p
[SIZE=1]Get better for the sake of mankind, mr jobs!
No kidding! Please Steve! :(
Good to see that's Steve is still well enough to attend such things. Still very thin mind you.
Yes, for sure!

Same reason most online stores don't ship to Nigeria.
If statistics show problem online fraud areas in a much higher percentage than other cities, it makes sense to temporarily curb it.
You're talking about a whole country. As it is right now there are more iPhones in NYC than anywhere else. In order for this to be true it would mean tens of thousands of NYers, at least, are having their personal info stolen. Also, why only the iPhone? Wouldn't these thieves with all their stolen info just move onto another AT&T phone that costs just as much? Such as BB? Why hasn't any other telco stopped onlines sales of any of their high priced phones in NYC? Surely these thieves wouldn't just buy one phone.
To believe this you would have to jump through many conclusions, some being illogical.

I wouldn't be surprised if they weren't giving out keys anymore, since the beta doesn't last too much longer. An update said they planned to take it down for a few weeks, then bring it back for a few weeks prior to release. There aren't too many weeks left.
Did anyone get keys from Best Buy? I thought it was just Gamestop. I went to the store and it was printed on my receipt.

No. Apple has an application called Aperture. Many DSLR cameras for professional users (for example the press) use SD cards to save the picture data. HD camcorders use also SD cards to save the video data.
You obviously do not know the SD card market. Cheap and fast SD cards with a capacity of 1 GB (a CD holds 0.7 GB or 700 MB) are now available for 3 to 5 years. The reasons why most people do not use these for the data exchange are that USB flash drives are much cheaper, more robust and nearly every computer has a USB port.
Ah, so that makes sense. Since macs are used extensively by video/audio people, it would make sense that apple would provide support for this new tech, even though it hasn't been thoroughly tested yet. Apple often waits till technology's tested before it makes the leap, unless it's really sure it's a good idea (USB).

From the talks I've had with people from the Apple Professional Services group Apple feels that real world use of OS X server is very limited. Most of their work is integrating Active Directory with Open Directory. They see most of their customers using OS X Server as the authentication, group policy, and file servers for the mac units in their customer's businesses.

I am sure going to make my vote count when my WTO rep is up for re-election!
Under the US constitution congress has the right to sign international treaties. That's what this is.
What exactly is 'illegal' under WTO rules? Tariffs in general are not
Maybe the ruling in this case was incorrect, but if this thing was done more frequently they probably would be found to be breaking the rules.

Even though this is most likely faked no one can be 100% sure, do you think they would drop the 8gb and go with 32gb, 64gb and 128gb as the models?

Because Office 2010 uses MAPI. Its WebDAV that has gone away.
It has NOTHING to do with protocol. If Windows Office uses MAPI, put MAPI in Mac Office. It's not rocket science. Point being - it CAN be done somehow. They choose not to do it because they are sabotaging Mac Office so it's always going to be inferior to the Windows version. Anyone who doesn't see that is, to use a term, a blindfolded stuck in the basement asleep Stevie Wonder.

This demonstrates that Adobe is a bunch of morons. If they listened to Apple and used xCode they could click one button and produce a universal binary.
Perhaps Adobe writes ****** software that isn't engineered to be platform independant.
Not for things that make hardware calls - it's not as easy of a compile.

So how is google going to deal with this health care debacle ? We're issuing First Aid kits to all google employee's and going from there, hows Apple dealing with it? Well first off it'll be mandatory for everyone to wear jeans that are shorter in length, never know when an earth quake or flood is coming
