I feel that they did not violate any clause. Till June 30 which is end of third quarter, they are authorized to approve (3*27%*140K) 113,400. However they approved only 66,400 till May 31. That yields about 47,000 for June alone(10%+any number not used in previous months). The reamining visas are eligible for Jul 1, which is 13,000. Put together June and July1, it comes 60,000. Therefore they did not violate any law. The remaining number was splitted for Consular porcessing.

Well, I didn't think Sunday, JULY 1 counted as a business day for USCIS. Isn't there a law prohibiting government employees from working on weekends? If there isn't any such law and if it really is a working day, maybe people should have hand delivered applications at the service centers on sunday. I read in some other thread that someone had his/her application delivered via USPS on sunday night :confused: No wonder this is all such a horrible mess!

It is possible for every city to have at least one usps office to be open on Sunday. They have a different day off.
Just go to the USPS website and locate an office that is open on Sun.

Hi,
I have a EAD L2 Based valid till 2009. I havent worked in US till now after getting EAD. Now I have to travel to India for a Month. What will be the procedure to retain my EAD after I come back to US after 30 day.

I understand your frustration, but the rules are the same for everybody, and if India sends more immigrants to the US then any other country, that\\\'s not the US Government\'s fault.
If there were not per country limits, Indians would consume all those EB visas visas leaving no chance to the applicants from other countries to immigrate to the US legally.

This is a blatant lie. India is not using up ALL the H1B Visas, how can it use up ALL EB Immigration visas.
Right; So, why o why the priority date for Indian (and chinese) born immigrants are way before ROW? Because there are more of you guys than ROW who want to immigrate to US. And that is OK, since those countries have way more population than rest of the other countries and more professionals. It is just that the policy is here since they don't want everyone (waiters, DMV clerks, etc) in Silicon Valley to be forced to learn Mandarin or Persian or whatever.

USCIS is not a legislative body, they cannot pass a law. The Congress does. In order to change any existing laws Congress has to pass it and USCIS just implements it. So I do not think meeting USCIS will help. BTW what is DOS ?

sounds good to me. There are lots of things that you can do with a subway. Does it have to be realistic? If not then you can make it look like what you think a subway station should look like (futuristic, older, or just different). A lot of different skills are needed, lighting, texturing, space perception, etc. This should be fun!

Why an online MBA should be discriminated from the regular class room ?
Today�s techie world, everything is done remote- say for example you work from home remotely , you send the work to offshore,
you do your tax filing online, you do online bank transaction , you do trading online etc .
For everything you don�t go in person to execute everything , almost everything is online. We don�t really challenge those items.
In tandem , any good reputable university courses are really challenging in par and more tough with compared with class room.
None of the accredited university will not give you free degree.
Does university has to have an GMAT or ACCSB !! or reputation ? � It all depends on your interest and what you learn from it , and individual skill and talent.
Even any highly accredited university does not give you any magic bullets you needed.
There is basic principle, do not give money to anyone more than your assets . Banking sectors, always recruit the cream layer MBA from top university , don�t they know this small concept ?, inspite , they started lending more money than they can afford , where is the risk analysis on this ? � basic fundamental .
Can we call this Harvard and top university brains created this 2008-2009 recession ? , I read some articles, challenging the Harvard professionals for the mess in financial industry � where is the Harvard MBA ?

Sometime ago , I had seen Jack Welch's comments on this ( the last page in Business Week ) where he had mentioned that he respected people who have an online MBA bcoz of the fact that these people were handling a family , kids , a full time job and education, no mean feat ... and that he did not consider their MBA less than another MBA.
