We believe in this organization's hard work. Our presence here proves it. But I also think blaming members might not achieve anything except hostility.
If we do not get enough funds then we need to advertise IV. We need to have better web pages to have a look of a professional organization as compared to having a look of , lawyers website etc. For this we need ideas. We need better communication from IV administrators on their webpages. Right now if someone new comes to this website, it is does not look more than getting their immigration related questions answered. Plus their should be easy tabs to print IV advertisement for community boards, sending emails to friends to participate, or any other ideas. Also we need some form of direction of what to do and how to do it. Right now I don't even see easy tabs for access information from congressman, senators etc. Just throwing out some ideas. I am sure some other people have better ideas than I do.
Why dont you start by updating your profile, contributing money and volunteering your time to IV. You joined a couple days ago and have started lecturing IV admin as if you are an expert.
You came to the site and started dismissing IV flower campaign and praised AILA.
Why don't you volunteer for the site and its content and send an email to IV for it? And dont tell me you do not have time. If you do not have the time, then contribute money to IV because that is what I did too.

Good find !! After reading this article, I guess, USCIS would well support our demand for filing I-485 when PDs not current as it will give them more $$$ from EAD and AP extensions.

Man, he was doing a sugar coated talk when I was looking for job, and through out his speech he was talking only in millions, like we bought this company ABC last month for 20 million, and in walks in the owner of ABC Company with ragged clothes, really! man who has 20 million.

Till 2007 that was how it was being interpretted and then suddenly DOS realised it should be by category and not by country of chargebility.
The earlier Eb1 ROW>Eb2 ROW>Eb3 ROW spillover is called vertical spillover

However see in Horizontal spill over Eb2 India backlog takes of the numbers (14k in 2008)

If you really look at who is paying less and misusing the H1-B and L1 to manipulate the job market, its the big offshore companies who bring the less experienced folks from India/China and other asian countries into US. These biggies pay way too less (52 to 57K) to these folks than what the conultants who work for local consulting companies make.
They apply for 1000's of H1B's and L1's showing the positions in US but 60% of the folks works back in their offshore centers in China or India with H1B/L1 stamped on their passport. Question is, if they applied for H1B / L1 based on an existing position in US and gets approved, why is that folks are still working in India or China center? Doesn't that mean they faked the position?
When we consolidated the vendors and excluded all the local consulting companies to include only two of the big offshore companies, we have seen their consultants brought onsite leaving them after few months at our group to join local consulting companies for better pay.
To me, they manipulate the job market displace americans much more than the local consulting companies.
I truely hope CIS look deep into these manipulations and frauds as well.
I think the unlimited number of L1's has been a 'bane' for the employment market here as they 'definitely' replace the American jobs.Again this might fit in to the company's strategy and I m no one to complain about it. I am sure most of the other consultants on H1B in this country do make decent enough ( > 75k ) to qualify for the wage bracket that is being applied as a statistic here. The fact is though is that the employers do advertise lower salaries for the positions there by creating requirement though they might be actually paying the employees more than the advertised salary.

Thanks Almond. At this point, I am hoping USCIS will at least allow me to change jobs (remember - I am on 7th year H1b - approved I-140, did not apply for I-485 due to retro). some members here said this is possible and some other members said I cannot do this. so I am confused if I can do this or not. If at all USCIS lets me do this, it would be great if I can find a new employer who can do EB-2. I am praying to God to help me while I try this route. I am not asking too much here... am I ?
No, not at all. It's perfectly normal to want to advance in life and to want to move on to better things. I think the best thing to do right now would be to go for a consultation with an immigration lawyer. Or, if you cannot afford it maybe you can schedule an InfoPass appointment and ask the rep there what your options are. But I'd say a lawyer would be the best option.

I respectfully disagree, he is the president of USA and to its citizens, you might morally/personally declare him to be your president, but as long as your passport is not from USA you my friend are an alien (not extraterrestrial) living in the US of A :), please dont take this personally I am in the US too, and I got my passport recently renewed, and I had to pledge my allegiance in order to get my passport. Dear Friend, I know that I had pledged my alligiance to the Sovereinty, Intigretity of the country who had issued the passport I am holding. None of my actions are against that statement. However as I have moved over to USA and applied to live in USA permanently I should respect and love this country from the bottom of my heart.
I feel if I love my country of birth and sing its paises, then I should have stayed there permanently and not aspire to become US permanent Resident and eventualy US citizen. Since I want to stay in US I should love US more than any other country including the country of my birth.
Friend, most of us say that there should not be any country quota (I too support this statement), but sometimes we only provide the reason for keeping the country quota. We do not blend in to the US melting point but keep our seperate identity of so and so country. If you regularly read the posts in this forum it clearly displays that this forum belongs to a particular country. Many of the posters post in that country's language, posts any news from that country and some even say negative things about the nighbours of that country. Although I am too from that country I do not support that and want to present myself as an immigrant who want to reside and live in USA permanently.
I will continue to sing praises of the country I have selected and want to live permanently in (USA) and work to show that I am blending in this culture of this country and try to help remove any quota based on country of birth.

I have traveled out of the country 4 times since my last and only FP on 10/4/07. I had LUD on 10/4/ 07 because of this and have not heard anything from USCIS. I hope they still have my file somewhere in their warehouse.

These USINPAC folks are shameless creatures who will take credit for the sun shining tomorrow morning. Lets send this guy Sanjay Puri, Robinder Sachdev and his fraudsters team a dictionary so that he knows how to spell IMMIGRATION correctly even if he has some malicious thoughts and actions in his mind. All they are good at is to do photo oppotunities and do these frauds where they claim to have worked or be working on an issue. I can also do the fund raisers and get photos taken. But there is where it stops with USINPAC. The politicians walk away with the money and turn their back on them and these guys start looking for the next politician to do a fund raiser for and get photo opportunity. How much more foolish can this get?

For Anti-immigrants atleast we know where they stand and we know what to expect from them. usinpac is the worst kind of disease for the community where they can trick you anytime and you will not even know when they are stabbing you at your back. They just want to do photo-ops and claim the credit for the things they didn't even know. I live in VA and most people in Indian community in northern VA know about the inside story of these scamster. Initially a few lawmakers got the impression that usinpac represent the Indian American community, maybe that is what the con-artist at this org conveyed to a few lawmakers. Now everybody in DC area, including the lawmakers, know the truth about this group. A journalist friend in MD told me that even press and reporters know about this totally useless org called usinpac.
It is one thing if they do something and then claim credit for doing it. The problem is first of all they claim to represent entire Indian American community; on top of that they do not do anything about the any issue including green card issue. But when they see something happening they will try to take ownership of anything moving and will try to make a show that things are moving because of them. Just as in this case, all the members of IV sent flowers and these guys are releasing press release to tell to the world that they are the once doing this drive. Such press release from them is extremely damaging as the basic intent of the ENTIRE flower campaign was o draw media attention. In this case usinpac did not spare all the people spending days and nights to coordinate, Nixtor and English_august and thousands of people who sent flowers. How can someone stoop so low? Now they want to get media attention and that is why they have sneaked in this press release. IV core must come clean on this and clearly renounce these consistent immature acts of these con-artists. I would love to get involved with bunch of like minded people.....I have all the experience needed for starting and running a company. I have successully done thrice.....We have so many experienced folks who would love to start and run a company but lack the experience/knowledge of running one. it would be a good start to bring all such people to get together and pool our knowledge, skills, money and succeed.
